Did you know that Singapore has some of the most attractive parkour training spots for Parkour practitioners around the world? The huge variety of structures in this super dense urban city, coupled with the generally safe crime-free environment, makes this an ideal training region.
If you’ve visiting any of the following places in Singapore for training (a lot of them are our usual training locations during classes), do make sure to stay safe, take good care of the environment, and be respectful to passers-by and residents!
1. Bedok Maze
It’s called the Bedok Maze because, well, it looks like a maze. This location offers plenty of opportunities for movement for beginners and advanced practitioners, and is pretty well-known among the local parkour community.
2. Bishan Training Spots
Bishan offers a huge variety of training spots, and in particular, the Bishan Parkour Training Spot 1 is a place that practitioners love to revisit regularly. This is also where our Singapore parkour aunties started their parkour training!
3. Clarke Quay U-Ramp
The name “U-Ramp” is derived from the u-shaped railings on the slope of this high traffic pedestrian path. The best time to train here is in the early mornings, when the human traffic is at its lowest.
4. Clementi Sports Hall
Clementi offers many interesting structures and spots for training, and the playgrounds and stone walls around the Clementi Sports Hall are definitely worth trying out. Don’t miss out on the free shower facilities in the sports hall itself! 🙂
5. Holland Village Amphitheatre
Holland Village is probably one of the most underrated spots for training, and it’s one of the locations where we conduct our classes every week!
6. Robertson Quay
Fantastic place to train your wall run and climb-ups. If you go further along the Singapore River towards Robertson Bridge, you will find beginner-friendly railings for training your balancing skills.
7. Asian Civilisations Museum Green
This is a nice field where many practitioners train their flow work on railings, trick, and practise routes.
