Our Parkour / Flips classes cover:

1. The philosophy and history of Parkour

This gives you a context of how it came about and its values from Art du Déplacement, in order to build a strong body, mind and spirit and become a better human. Whether you are practising Art du Déplacement, Parkour or Freerunning, these values, philosophy and history will help you gain a deeper understanding of the discipline.

2. Parkour conditioning exercises to protect your body

Proper warm-ups, conditioning drills and cool-downs make sure your body is ready for an intensive training, and prevent injuries.

3. Parkour movements for every level, safely

Get introduced to various Parkour movements, such as jumping, rolling, vaulting, and more, in a progressive manner. You can also learn how to flip (front flips, back flips, side flips, etc) indoors at Kraken Gym, one of the top Parkour gyms in Singapore. No matter what your level is, you get tailored instructions to help you improve, understand the core concepts of the movement, and apply it in real world settings safely.

Why learn Parkour?

1. It’s a fun and creative way to get fit

The world becomes your playground in Art du Déplacement, Parkour, and Freerunning. You will get in touch with your inner-child to move freely in various ways, and never see the world the same away again. You can learn to flip like an acrobatic expert. The best part? You can do this anywhere, as long as there is floor space.

2. You gain valuable life skills out of it

The physical aspect is obvious, but there’s also the mental aspect. It teaches you to overcome fears/obstacles as you push yourself out of your comfort zone. It shows you how to adapt to your environment and improvise with what you have.

3. It can save your life

In Parkour, you learn to prevent a fall, safely fall, and recover from a fall. In life, we inevitably fall sometimes (physically and/or metaphorically). It’s vital to know how to keep ourselves safe if it happens, so that we can pick ourselves up and move on.

Kids Parkour Holiday Camp

Develop your child’s body and mind through movement

A challenging and fun-filled 3-day and 5-day summer holiday camp intensive that helps your child grow mentally, physically and socially in a positive and safe space. This Parkour camp is led by Coach CP (Denester), the Vice President of Parkour Singapore, and lead Parkour coach at MOVE Academy Singapore. Coach Nachos, the President of Parkour Singapore, and Coach Calvin may be assisting as well.

This special camp programme is suitable for kids from 5 to 12 years old, and takes place 9am to 12pm daily at Bishan during the holiday season. The kids will be guided and grouped according to their maturity and ability, in order to give them the most optimal learning experience.

About our coaches

Coach CP

MOVE Team - Chen Pin

A passionate practitioner for more than 10 years, Chen Pin (CP), also known as Denester, has travelled around the world to teach, perform, and participate in different events and competitions – notably in Beast Coast, Freerun Hefei City, North American Parkour Championships.

He is also a community leader – with his ambitions in growing the Parkour scene regionally, he masterminded the biggest Parkour event in Asia – Lion City Gathering.

With 7 years of coaching experience and counting, he is also proud to be the second person in Asia to have attained the ParkourEDU certification, and aims to share his outlook of Parkour to budding practitioners.

Coach Nachos

MOVE Team - Nachos

Over the past decade, Nachos began exploring Parkour on his own and moved on to training with some of the best practitioners in Singapore. One of his most recent achievements is participating in the AAPES Jump Off 2016 Freerun and Speedrun Challenge, held in Sydney. As the president of Parkour Singapore, he is always promoting and representing Parkour to all ages.

He loves active movements and exploring other activities such as dance, martial arts, tricking, and gymnastics.

He currently holds ADAPT Level 1, 2 and 3 certifications, and is the first person in Southeast Asia to attain ADAPT Level 3.
